We use a special ceramic dry toner that is printed onto special substrate to use on our porcelain. This is used to hold the inks in place onto the porcelain prior to going into our kiln to be fired for approximately 12 hours at temperatures up to 1,600 degrees Fahrenheit! We try to match the colors as close as possible, but there will be some slight variations due to the unique process that is used.
The end result is a high quality porcelain portrait for use outdoors in all types of weather conditions. They look great indoors too!
